A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Your Wedding
By Cindy K. Green
This is a fun, refreshing, non-preachy read. Faith is simply part of the main characters’ lives. The people come across as being real and imperfect, but still individuals who are decidedly Christian. If you find it a challenge to find wholesome romances that are not sappy, the problem is now solved. Cindy Green is proving that nice does not mean wimpy.
~Amanda, Huntress Reviews, 4 Stars!
This is my kind of book! It’s sweet and funny and you really come to care for the characters by the end.
~ Kara, Sweetness & Light
This book is well written. Interesting and lively, it doesn’t gloss over the trials and tribulations people who meet and fall in love have from time to time. I especially liked the way this story highlights the fact that even those we hold in high regard are capable of hurting others and asking for forgiveness. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Your Wedding is not a single moment in time, the one incident that took place on the rainy sidewalk, but a story that is strong enough to carry the reader forward, throughout the things that happen after a first meeting. I don’t want to give away the nuts and bolts of Ms. Green’s tale, but I will say that I am hoping for a sequel. The characters are strong enough that I want to know what happens to them after this! Well done!

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Your Wedding is a soul searching look at what makes the characters happy and how to serve God while doing so. Faith plays an integral part of the story whose ending will bring tears along with laughter to the reader. A must read for any fan of inspirational romance.

Four Stars from reviewer, Amanda. “Although this is a holiday themed story, it can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Kat’s dilema is one that will strike a chord with far too many of us who need to vicariously rediscover the joy in life throughout the seasons. This sweet, heartwarming romance is a gift for any occasion.”

From reviewer, Katherine – ” I loved The Spirit of Christmas. Nick is so in love with Kat and he knows her better than anyone, even herself. He uses the Secret Santa as a means to allow Kat to tear down the walls even she didn’t realize she had. It was fun watching his jealousy of himself and to witness their growing love for each other. I will definitely be looking for more books by Cindy K. Green.”

Four cups from reviewer, Krista. “This story gets 4 cups because it enthralls you to the end. The characters in this story are very believable for the simple fact that many people have lost their Christmas spirit. The Nick Pringles of this world still cling to the joy Christmas can bring. Ms. Green is a fabulous writer who can write a heartfelt story. She takes you on an emotion filled ride of ups and downs, yet through it all there is hope. Her way with words leaves you wanting more and fulfills. The little tricks Kathryn came up with to try to figure out who her Secret Santa is had me laughing. I laughed often during the book because the friendship that Kathryn and Nick share is really wonderful. The feelings that Kathryn and Nick have came across as very genuine. This book could be read any time, but it is a good Christmas story to remind you to enjoy giving.”

Five hearts from reviwer, Linda L. “The Spirit of Christmas jumped from the pages and straight to my heart. It was like watching two lovable characters on the big screen. Nick’s love for Kat swims within every page, every eye contact and just being in the room with her. Kat has issues that she has put a barrier around and she needs someone understanding to break down that barrier and open her heart again. Cindy K. Green sketches a moving story that grabs and doesn’t let go even after the story is over. Nick and Kat maybe sharing the holiday season, but it doesn’t matter because this is one romance that lives on everyday in one’s heart. Thanks Ms. Green for penning a most charming read.”
