I have started my next Work in Progress. I actually began this book before “A Funny Thing…” but I put it aside when the characters I created in a writing class took over and a couple months later “A Funny Thing…” was finished.
Having my Christmas novella accepted, I needed something new to work on until I start working on the edits. I decided to return to the book I left off on in February. The working title is “Liaisons.” The idea for the book is to be a suspense/intrigue style story. But of course it is at the heart a romance – the lost love kind of story. Now mixing intrigue with romance is fun, but it has been a new experience for me. I hope it all turns out well.
I plan on giving some character descriptions and plot reveals as I continue to work on the book. Right now, I can say that the book is called “Liaisons” because the hero, Griffin Stevens, is an FBI man sent to be a Liaison to the CIA. And the heroine, Dr. Abigail Miller, is a junior analyst for the CIA. This brings these two high school sweethearts back together and eventually into a tumultuous situation with political and international ramifications. The title also denotes the intrigue that is involved in the story.
More to Come!
